Transport options for your move to Dubai
Whether it’s a sea container, a consolidated container, an overseas crate, air freight or vehicle transport - there is a suitable transport solution for every move to the United Arab Emirates. Which option is best suited to your move depends, amongst other things, on the volume of your belongings, your timetable and local conditions.

Latest information on transport routes on the Arabian Peninsula
Important notice:
For the foreseeable future, transport routes in parts of the region may be disrupted by geopolitical developments and armed conflicts. The shipping lines we work with are currently not calling at certain ports in the affected areas.
This may necessitate additional overland transport from alternative ports. The resulting additional costs currently amount to approximately 2,000 to 3,000 USD per 20-foot container. This may also affect consignments that are already in transit.
For removal goods from the United Arab Emirates and the neighbouring states of Bahrain and Qatar, some shipments are currently being routed via alternative ports in Oman or Jeddah. As a result, transport costs to the port of Bremerhaven may currently amount to around 13,000 to 14,000 USD per container. Added to this are the usual costs for packing, loading, customs clearance, unloading and delivery to the final destination.
Should you wish to postpone your move due to the current situation, we offer secure storage facilities for your household goods. On request, we can organise shipment at a later date, as soon as conditions allow. We would also be happy to advise you on short-term storage options at your current place of residence.

What documents are required to move to Dubai?
Various documents are required for importing household effects into the United Arab Emirates. These may include, amongst other things:

The most important factors affecting the price include, above all, the volume of goods being moved, the chosen container size and the mode of transport. The cost of packing, any customs and import duties, the distance to the destination and any additional services requested also have an impact on the total cost.
Generally speaking, the larger the household and the more extensive the household effects, the higher the transport and logistics costs. At the same time, additional services such as professional packing, storage or special transport arrangements can also influence the price. Pack it yourself or have it packed professionally?
For overseas removals, we generally recommend professional export packaging. During sea transport, containers are subjected to considerable movement and stress. Household goods that are not packed properly may be damaged. Furthermore, incomplete or incorrect inventory lists can lead to delays in customs clearance and additional costs.
